Meet Dean Stacy - Featured QLD Coach

Dean has been involved in secondary education for more than 40 years in Texas schools. He has served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and executive principal at the secondary level. 

Although formally retired, Dean continues working in several fields of education, including his work for QLD as a Certified S.M.A.R.T. Coach. In addition, he works part time as a facilitator in the grant department of a large urban district and as a facilitator in the new teacher program for a Texas regional service center. Finally, Dean serves as a campus administrative mentor for principals for the Texas School Improvement Resource Center.

Dean received his B.S. degree from Texas Christian University along with his M.Ed and mid-management certification from the University of North Texas. He lives in north Texas where he enjoys bicycling and gardening.
